Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Participate in postincident analysis
   • Roles and responsibilities of multi-organisational or agency and support personnel involved in post incident analysis are determined and confirmed
2. Cooperation with multi-organisational or agency personnel in the conduct of post incident analysis is in accordance with organisational procedures and is consistent with designated roles and responsibilities
3. Information for post incident analysis from multi-organisational or agency personnel is identified and sought
4. Work, Health and Safety (WHS)/Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) procedures are followed
5. Facilitate initial assessment of incident
   • Integrity of incident site is established and maintained, in accordance with and organisational procedures and legal requirements, to ensure objectivity of information collected
6. Statutory and legal obligations are identified and followed
7. Factors affecting the complexity of the investigation are determined and assessed
8. Stakeholders are notified, in accordance with organisational procedures
9. Participate in investigation processes
   • Organisational policies and procedures for scene investigation are implemented
10. Scope of investigation is determined, in accordance with organisational procedures
11. Stakeholder involvement is facilitated throughout investigation processes
12. Barriers impacting on post incident analysis are identified and addressed, in accordance with organisational procedures
13. Action plans and timelines are developed and implemented
14. Liaison with members of analysis team is undertaken, in accordance with organisational procedures
15. Collect data for analysis
    • Information and data, including historical, is identified and accessed
16. Physical, visual and electronic data is collected for use in post incident analysis
17. Interviews are conducted, in accordance with organisational procedures
18. Information and data gathered by others is analysed
19. Documented evidence is recorded, in accordance with organisational procedures
20. Analyse collected data
    • Method for analysis is identified and confirmed, in accordance with organisational procedures
